Group makeup class
This hands-on group class is designed for those who want to learn natural, wearable makeup while discovering their most flattering colors. You’ll be guided through a full look step by step, and learn to choose shades that bring out your best features.
key takeaways
Group-guided draping with calibrated fabrics to help you observe how undertone, chroma, and value affect your features. You’ll identify your likely seasonal palette and test lip and cheek colors during the session. We’ll also introduce the general makeup style and mood for each season to help you better align your product choices with your natural coloring.
Learn how to tell whether a makeup product leans warm or cool, and how to connect that to seasonal palettes. We will guide you through matching lipstick, blush, and base tones to your season, so you can make smarter and more flattering choices. You will also get a chance to review your own makeup pouch. We will highlight which products align with your coloring and which might be less ideal.
This session guides you through building a full everyday makeup routine from start to finish. You will learn how to prep and balance your skin, blend base products for a natural finish, and enhance your features with color placement that suits your face structure and coloring.
We will cover techniques for foundation, concealer, and powder application, along with brow shaping, soft eyeshadow blending, and eyeliner suited to your eye shape. You will also learn how to apply blush, contour, and highlight in a way that brings out your best features, followed by lipstick selection based on your seasonal palette. We will wrap up with setting techniques to help your makeup stay fresh throughout the day.
Every step is demonstrated clearly, with time for hands-on practice and feedback from your instructor.

⏱️ Session Breakdown

Approx 10 min:
1) Color theory introduction
- Understand the fundamentals of undertone (warm, cool, neutral), chroma (soft or bright), and value (light or deep)
- Learn how these traits influence how color appears on your skin and why certain shades look more flattering than others
- Start noticing how color affects your natural features such as skin clarity, eye brightness, and facial balance
- This section sets the stage for everything that follows by helping you see color more critically and accurately

Approx 10 min:
2) Color mapping
- Practice identifying whether lip, blush, and base products lean warm or cool by observing their finish and pigment
- Discover how to categorize makeup into seasonal palettes (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) using side-by-side comparisons
- Learn how to translate color theory into your actual product choices
- Build awareness for smarter shopping, editing your makeup stash, and selecting shades with intention

Approx 30 min:
2) Express color analysis
- Participate in a condensed, group-guided seasonal draping using calibrated fabrics to help you identify your makeup season — the category that best supports your skin tone, undertone, and facial balance when it comes to cosmetics.
- This session is designed to help you understand your makeup color direction, not wardrobe planning. You’ll learn how undertones, chroma, and value influence how products show up on your skin, and how to recognize visual cues like clarity, shadowing, and lift.
- Try on flattering lip and cheek shades that align with your likely seasonal category (e.g. True Winter, Light Summer), and receive a digital seasonal makeup guide after class to refer to when choosing future products.
Note: This is a condensed group format, not a full 1-to-1 draping. There will be fewer individual fabric comparisons and no take-home fabric swatch. For wardrobe color selection or detailed personal analysis, we recommend booking a private color analysis session.

3) FACE SHAPE ANALYSIS & PRODUCT PLACEMENT
- Identify your general face shape (oval, round, heart, square, etc.) using basic structure markers

About group makeup class :
A personal color analysis is a one-on-one session focused entirely on identifying your seasonal palette for both makeup and wardrobe. You’ll receive full draping with calibrated fabrics, detailed testing of undertone, chroma, and depth, and a physical swatch set to guide shopping and styling. It’s ideal if you want to fully understand how color impacts your entire look — clothing, accessories, makeup, and hair.
In contrast, the group makeup class focuses on makeup-related color direction. The draping is simplified and done in a group format to help identify your most likely subseason, which then guides makeup application and color selection. There’s no wardrobe or styling advice, and no fabric swatch is included.
If your goal is to revamp your makeup kit and learn how to enhance your features through color, the group class is a great fit. If you want deeper clarity on your overall color identity and how to use that for both fashion and beauty, a personal color analysis is the better choice.
The group class is a shared learning experience with up to 4 participants per instructor. It’s structured, hands-on, and includes a simplified version of color analysis. You’ll benefit from seeing different faces, hearing others’ questions, and learning in a supportive group setting.
A personal class offers more individual attention, shorter waiting time, and deeper customization. It’s ideal if you want to go at your own pace or explore specific techniques, colors, or concerns in greater detail.
If you’re just starting out or want a fresh boost of knowledge and inspiration, the group class is a great place to begin. If you’re looking for a deeper transformation or personalized strategy, go for the one-to-one session.
We’ll guide you through a condensed group version of seasonal color analysis. This includes group draping, makeup color testing, and a post-class digital seasonal guide. There won’t be a full 1-to-1 fabric comparison or physical swatch set in this format.
Classes are conducted by either Yuhui or Susan. If the group exceeds four participants per instructor, both may be present to ensure you receive proper guidance and feedback
